Mechanical Project Manager - Northampton
Your new companyA well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Northamptonshire is looking to strengthen its projects team with the appointment of a Mechanical Project Manager.The business delivers mechanical packages across a range of sectors including residential accommodation (apartment blocks), commercial offices, and healthcare projects, typically ranging in value from £100k to £3.5m. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an established service & maintenance arm, the company offers stability and continued growth.Projects are primarily based across the Midlands, although some travel beyond the region may be required depending on project location.
Your new roleAs a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical projects, typically managing 2-3 projects concurrently.The role has a strong focus on project delivery, productivity, and health & safety, with less emphasis on commercial or budgetary responsibilities, allowing you to focus on operational excellence.Key duties include:
Managing mechanical projects from pre-start through to completionCoordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliersEnsuring projects are delivered on time and to specificationMaintaining high standards of health & safety compliance on-siteDriving productivity and programme adherenceLiaising with clients, consultants, and internal teamsAttending site meetings and providing project updatesWhat you'll need to succeedExperience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within an M&E contractorStrong technical knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant)Experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyA strong focus on health & safety and operational deliveryExcellent organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
