This is a band 6 Community Midwife post for the Mid Argyll locality.
The post holder will provide direct antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families within the Mid Argyll locality.
You will be responsible for supporting women in their choice of place of birth and provide care under a community midwifery model. The midwife will practice autonomously. The midwives are supported by the consultants from Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
There is an on call requirement to provide care to women during birth in the out of hours period and to be able to respond to obstetric emergencies with the support from the on call GP and hospital staff. The Mid Argyll Midwifery Team is a small team who are committed to providing an excellent service to the patients within the locality. Training is provided and there is a Service level Agreement with GG&C for any ongoing training and development.
