Overview
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has a welcoming opportunity in our Childrens Services, focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. We are creating an empowering environment where social work practice can thrive, with social workers encouraged to be innovative and creative to improve services for children and families. You will work with a highly experienced and dedicated permanent management team who provide consistent direction and support. The role is based in our new state-of-the-art council office on the riverside in Stockton, with free parking, a riverside café, and large modern office spaces. We are recruiting qualified Social Workers for our specialist adolescent team to work with young people in Stockton, where Harm Outside of the Home (HOTH) has been identified.
We aim to support social workers who can collaborate with young people and their families to reduce risks related to HOTH, Child Criminal Exploitation, Child Sexual Exploitation, and County Lines. You will work in a creative, multi-agency way to address concerns around contextual safeguarding. Our adolescent social workers operate with a reduced caseload to focus on relationship-building, disruption, and creating safe spaces for young people to develop and thrive.
