Job Description - Housing Management Coordinator (251134)

Job Title: Housing Management Coordinator

Location: St Albans

Type: Permanent, part-time (18 hours per week), working 3 days a week, 6 hours per day, with flexible hours.

Pay: £12.61 to £13.36 per hour (£25,838 to £30,204 pro rata), plus benefits including Health Cash Plan.

Overview: Join our team at Nicholas House, St Albans, as a Housing Management Coordinator. You will support tenancy management, ensure properties are safe and maintained, and assist customers in managing their tenancies and rent accounts, with the goal of helping them secure long-term housing.

Responsibilities:

* Support customers in temporary accommodation, focusing on tenancy support for single parents and their children.
* Assist customers with housing benefit claims and ensure rent accounts are up to date.
* Issue warning letters and notices, and attend court when necessary.
* Prepare vacant properties for new tenants, ensuring quick turnaround times.
* Maintain health and safety standards and oversee property maintenance.

Requirements:

* Experience managing a housing management caseload and landlord duties.
* Knowledge of re-letting procedures, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
* Ability to lead and support colleagues.
* Proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
* Excellent collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners.

Additional Information:

* Work pattern is flexible and based at our St Albans service.
* Enhanced DBS check required; paid for by us.
* Due to sponsorship restrictions, we cannot currently offer sponsorship to external candidates.
