We are currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to join us in Heywood working within a growing team. As part of this skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on our organisation.
You will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including a variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes), Laminar airflow cabinets and Fume Cupboards.

* Hours are Monday – Thursday 7am – 3.30pm and Friday 7am – 1pm – 38 hours a week

Your role includes:
* Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools
* Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality
* Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
* To complete projects successfully and follow instructions from your manager
* Reading and understanding detailed drawings
* Work with other teams to minimize delays and meet high standards
* Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
* Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products
What we are looking for.
The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to a very high standards.
* It’s essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience
* A City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent is ideal but not essential
* You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid driver’s license (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes)
* Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings
* Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems
* Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish
* To be able to work independently and as part of a team
