Methods Development Engineer - Submarines (Full Time)
Location: Derby, Raynesway
Rolls-Royce has an excellent opportunity for a Methods Development Engineer to join our Submarines Business in Derby. As a methods development engineer, you will actively develop methods to increase the availability and safety of components in-service. Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting preliminary literature reviews to generate hypotheses
2. Performing physical testing for validation
3. Reporting findings and obtaining regulatory approval
4. Implementing developed methods as quality-assured software

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience in software development, preferably Python
* Structural integrity analysis
* Material modelling of polycrystalline materials
* Thermal hydraulic analysis
* Literature distillation for engineering methods
* Probabilistic and statistical analysis
Desirable experience includes DevOps, industrial codes like R6, ASME III, and Finite Element Analysis.
