We have a great opportunity for a Planner to join our Civil Engineering team. You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Planner in the daily programme management duties and assist to support the successful delivery of projects. Monitor and record as-built site progress against the main programmes with regular site attendance. We have an exceptional pipeline with recent projects consisting of road schemes, bridge works, public realm, reservoirs and general civil engineering schemes based predominantly in the North West. This role will be mobile and based on our various sites around the North West. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain the Master Programme and associated civils programmes in line with contract requirements. Produce clear, high‑level programme outputs for project teams, including 2–4 week look‑aheads, phased/sectional views, and design, subcontractor or package‑specific extracts. Create and manage the Procurement Programme to support timely placement of subcontractor packages. Track on‑site progress and accurately record as‑built information. Develop detailed sectional phasing programmes to support enhanced planning and technical understanding. Deliver robust resource and cost loading/profiling within a Primavera P6 environment. Ensure full traceability of Compensation Events and Extensions of Time within the CL32 programme, applying NEC contract principles. Prepare CL62 impact programmes to support entitlement assessments as required. Produce a comprehensive suite of programme submissions accompanied by clear, detailed narratives. Develop and manage subcontractor programmes to monitor and report on performance against key milestones. What You’ll Bring Aligned to our ethos and values, you will be an integral part of our planning team who is passionate about Civil Engineering; HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent industry qualification. 3–5 years’ experience as a Planner within construction or civils. Strong IT skills, including Primavera P6, Powerproject, MS Project, Visio and CorelDraw. Valid CSCS card. Site experience desirable. Good understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contract requirements. Solid construction and civils knowledge with the ability to assess alternative solutions. Strong grasp of Compensation Events, EOTs, and entitlement processes. Confident user of P6, including resource/cost loading, critical path analysis, baselines and variances. Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills. Strong organisational and information‑management skills. Able to quickly interpret new information. Strong influencing and motivation skills. Effective time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
