My client is seeking an experienced, competent and confident Assistant Technical Services Manager, which will be integral to the onsite Operations and Centre team within a large retail shopping centre. The role will be a client and customer facing role and your key responsibilities will include running the front procurement and delivery of projects requiring technical inputs and working with shopping centre landlords, assisting in retailer fitouts and driving optimum performance through establishing, implementing and maintaining effective management of systems and procedures.


Your remit will be the delivery and continuity of service or Mechanical, Electrical, VT, Public Health Infrastructure at the centre, while contributing to the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for all retailers and visitors to the centre.


You must be strong communicator you will act as the Managing Agent interface for technical activity and be supported as required by the UK Engineering Operations team.


Your role responsibilities will include but not be limited to;


* Assist with the delivery of technical services operations onsite through the centre team and technical services compliance teams and service partners.
* Understand the mutual and strategic goal for the centre and the client.
* Assist with the delivery of electrical/technical services operations through the technical services teams and service partners.
* Ensure that each technical asset is managed and maintained in a proactive and customer focused manner that is cost effective and reliable.
* Liaise and assist on all landlord and retailer fit outs and advise the consultancy teams on any issues or concerns with the landlord and retailer fit outs.
* Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance strategies and systems for the building, facilities and public realm area.
* Maintain an exceptionally high standard of service delivery encompassing technical innovation, sustainability and customer & retailer focus.
* By instructing the establishment of a strong Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM) strategy, the use of KPIs,
* industry best practices and contract management techniques, ensure compliance with statutory items is met.
* Ensure adherence to, on behalf of the Landlord and occupiers, the technical obligations within the retailer lease agreements.
* Ensure the agreed CAFM system is implemented, reporting functionality is used by all departments and
* Implement energy management initiatives, including recommendations from decarbonisation studies and smart optimisation programmes.
* Management of Water Treatment regime, including Water Treatment Manuals.
* Lift & Escalator inspections and report via monthly lift minutes.
* Produce and constantly review monthly audit program to provide clear reporting data on supply chain performance
* Support to deliver the building fabric and ensure the fabric is maintained according to the design specification required


The successful candidate will possess;

* Previous experience of contract management.
* Experience in working with Mechanical & Electrical service partners
* Procurement and project management experience
* Knowledge of compliance with current legislation to include water quality, statutory maintenance tasks, lift inspection and Health and Safety.
* Understanding of technical operations of the plant and how equipment operates.
* Experience of compliance and implementing a Permit to work system.
* Experience and knowledge of PPM. In addition, use of CAFM systems.
* Knowledge of managing budgets and compiling reports.
* Ability to review data and utilise to enable the best outcomes.
* Working across teams including internal teams, clients and service providers and contractors.
* Knowledge of processes such as the tender process and mobilisation.
* Experience of ensuring that processes and guidelines are adhered to in line with the required standards.
* Experience in retailer or fit out management with a sound knowledge of process and procedures.
