We are looking for a Senior Reinsurance Analyst (m/f/d), based in Munich or London. Your Team You will be reporting to the Head of Treaty Reinsurance being part of a globally successful team spread across the globe. The Impact You Will Have You will manage the reinsurance market cycle, transcend Line of Business (LoB) and unit-specific thinking, and cultivate a holistic, total balance sheet mindset to enhance reinsurance decision-making. You should work independently, autonomously acquiring the necessary information and methodologies to fulfill your tasks with an entrepreneurial spirit. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: • Co-operation with Risk Management in the RDS (Realistic Disaster Scenarios) process; calculate the respective net of the RDS scenarios; in addition to Ad- Hoc scenario testing and treaty simulation • Analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance • Design, develop and implement consistent, robust global reinsurance wordings • Annual Update of all Corporate Rules Books relevant for Reinsurance • Responsibility on the Reinsurance side for ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) report, RSR (Regular Supervisory Report), ASOR (Allianz Standards of Outgoing Reinsurance) Deviation report • QS and XOL (Excess of Loss) Vetting Process on ad- hoc and regular basis • AzRe QS Net Treaty Renewal, German Branch, UK Branch and CER SIM (Claims Equalization Reserve) for Pharma and Nuclear Pool • Contact Person for internal and external audits and Coordination of Ad hoc requests What You’ll Bring to the Role • Ideally, degree in mathematics, finance, business administration or another area that involves a strong focus on quantitative analysis • Professional reinsurance experience and in-depth understanding of reinsurance practice • Expert knowledge of reinsurance instruments, underlying business and Actuarial / Risk Capital requirements • Technical and practical background in one industrial insurance LoB, general understanding of all major LoBs and a robust understanding of actuarial principles and practices • Ability to evaluate risk reward effects of reinsurance, e.g. impact on P&L and capital position of company • Skill-set to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally • Fluent English is required
