Locations: Midlands (Preferred Location) but will also look at candidates-based UK National

Our client is a specialist in designing, installing and maintaining ground source heat pumps installed into new build commercial Care Homes.
Working alongside one of the biggest developers of new build Care Homes in England, they design and install standardised mechanical and heat pump systems that seamlessly integrate into the building, time and time again.
They are always developing and improving their systems with the aim of always providing the most efficient, environmentally friendly and reliable heating and cooling solutions.
Due to UK growth and expansion, they now seek to appoint an experienced commercial heating engineer, Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join their growing service and install team.
The Role/Responsibilities
Install and maintain mechanical heating and plumbing systems on new build commercial care home buildings.
* Installation of plant room including heat pumps, buffer tanks, hot water cylinders and all associated pipework in copper and press fittings. Installation is to a standard plant room layout working in teams of two.
* Pressure testing plant room pipework
* Carry out periodic maintenance and temperature checks on hot and cold-water systems installed in care homes. Includes, servicing and maintaining TMV’s
* Carry out periodic maintenance on cooling systems installed in care homes. Includes filter cleaning, operational checks
* Take ownership and be solely responsible of any workplace equipment, tools or property issued, hired, or allocated to you by the Company. It is your responsibly to ensure all items issued to yourself are kept presentable, functional and are calibrated to the manufacturer’s instructions. All faults or defects must be reported to your line manager immediately. All workplace equipment, tools and property remain in the ownership of the Company and must be returned in an acceptable condition, full working on return
* Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time
* Working both home and away from home up to 4 nights per week
Experience Required:
* Knowledge of traditional domestic and commercial plumbing techniques and
* Materials
* Full training and courses will be provided where required, no prior knowledge of heat pumps or care homes specific systems is required
* A good understanding on personal Health and Safety and how my actions can impact all others
* Ability to work unsupervised and able to follow clear instruction
* Proven organisational skills and attention to detail and applying principles
* Ability to diversify, act quickly and think outside the box
* Ability to communicate effectively, pro-active not reactive
* Keep fully up to date on current regulations and any changes
Qualifications Needed:
* CSCS card with the necessary NVQs and any other statutory qualifications (Training and qualifications can be provided where required)
* Plumbing experience
* Manual handling
* Excellent time management skills
* Good time keeping skills
* Personable and approachable
