Library Services provides a wide range of high-quality library and information services to USW students, academics, and researchers at the University of South Wales.
We are seeking a motivated and organized Senior Library Assistant to support our out-of-hours service at the Pontypridd campus. The successful candidate will manage and support the Library Support Assistant team responsible for staffing the out-of-hours service, overseeing daily supervision of library spaces and services, and ensuring safe, welcoming, and well-supported study environments for students.
This is a part-time role, working five hours daily, Monday to Friday, from 15:00 to 20:00, over 37 weeks, including the academic year and some additional summer hours for preparation.
You will also contribute to the wider activities of Library Services through planning and supervising projects. As part of a frontline team delivering excellent customer service, a strong commitment to customer care and high service standards are essential.
If this is your first professional services role at the University or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd, you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of USW that provides services to the university and colleges.
