We’re currently working with a leading global design studio to help them find an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join their West London-based Urban Design team on a rolling contract. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile international projects focused on placemaking, sport, culture, and entertainment-led urban environments.
This multidisciplinary practice has been shaping the design of large-scale public venues and city-shaping masterplans for over four decades. Their portfolio includes major sports arenas, cultural precincts, and mixed-use developments across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
As part of their continued growth, they are now expanding their in-house landscape capabilities and are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect who brings strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach.
The Role:
You’ll be embedded within a cross-disciplinary urban design studio, working closely with architects, urban designers, engineers, wayfinding experts, and events strategists. You’ll be responsible for leading the design and technical development of complex public realm and landscape schemes, with a focus on creative yet deliverable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the landscape design and documentation of large-scale public realm and urban masterplan projects from concept through to delivery (RIBA Stages 1–4 and beyond)
* Produce high-quality hard and soft landscape packages, including detailed planting strategies, construction detailing, and materials specifications
* Coordinate closely with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration with architecture, infrastructure, lighting, and other disciplines
* Contribute to project planning, progress tracking, and reporting, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and on schedule
* Play an active role in internal design reviews and client presentations
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related discipline, ideally with Chartered Membership (CMLI)
* Significant professional experience with a strong portfolio of built and in-progress work across complex urban or public realm projects
* Proven ability to lead design packages through key project phases, including technical detailing and site coordination
* Excellent knowledge of construction methodology, planting design, materials, and current public realm standards
* Strong conceptual and technical design abilities, with an eye for detail and delivery
* Proficient in key design and documentation tools (Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite)
* Confident communicator and collaborator, experienced in client and consultant coordination
* Positive, team-focused mindset with a genuine interest in shaping vibrant, people-centric environments
