 
        Job Title: IQA (Construction / CSCS) Location: Hybrid (3 days office-based – Worcester) Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview: We are recruiting for an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to support the delivery of high-quality Construction and CSCS training programmes. This role is key in maintaining the highest standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across all construction-based qualifications. You will work closely with tutors, assessors, and delivery teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence in all assessment practices. This is a hybrid position requiring regular on-site presence in Worcester, with the opportunity to help shape and continuously improve the quality of construction and CSCS provision. Key Responsibilities: · Monitor and evaluate tutor and assessor performance to ensure the highest quality of delivery and assessment. · Conduct robust sampling of learner portfolios to confirm assessment decisions are fair, valid, and reliable. · Provide constructive feedback and coaching to assessors and trainers, promoting best practice and professional development. · Maintain accurate IQA documentation including sampling plans, tracking sheets, and reports. · Ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements (Ofqual, ESFA, Ofsted). · Support with external quality assurance (EQA) visits, including preparation, evidence collation, and post-visit actions. · Monitor learner progress and contribute to strong achievement and retention outcomes. · Participate in standardisation meetings, curriculum development, and quality improvement initiatives. · Embed safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout all quality assurance activities. · Identify risks and implement improvement actions to strengthen compliance and delivery standards. Focus Areas: This role will support internal quality assurance across a range of construction and CSCS-related qualifications, including but not limited to: · Construction Skills and Site Safety · Health & Safety Awareness (CITB) · CSCS Test Preparation and Certification · Trade-related and vocational construction programmes · Facilities and site management training Experience within the construction sector or holding relevant trade-based or site safety qualifications would be a strong advantage. Essential/Desirable Criteria: Essential: · Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or equivalent) · Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent · Occupational competence within construction, trades, or site safety environments · Strong knowledge of assessment and awarding body requirements · Experience supporting assessors and preparing for EQA visits · Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy · Ability to manage priorities independently and work as part of a quality-focused team Desirable: · A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS, or higher) · Experience using e-portfolio systems such as OneFile or BUD · Experience in delivering or quality-assuring CSCS or CITB-related programmes · Knowledge of wider vocational delivery areas such as Health & Safety, Facilities, or Site Supervision
