Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive support for the people function ensuring the smooth operation of the People department while contributing to the overall employee experience.

Fundamental Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, training logs, and compliance documents, ensuring all documentation is valid and accessible.

· Provide comprehensive administrative support across all People functions—HR, Health & Safety, and Training—to ensure efficient departmental operations.

· Coordinate and support the onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, conducting inductions, and ensuring new starters complete all required documentation and mandatory training in line with company, health and safety, and food safety standards.

· Manage and maintain training records and schedules, track attendance and progress, and liaise with department leads to select and coordinate effective training methods and delivery.

· Accurately log and evaluate employee timesheets, collaborating with department heads to ensure correct entries and prevent errors in recorded hours and associated costs.

· Take accurate minutes during disciplinary, welfare, and other employee-related meetings, maintaining confidentiality and clear documentation of outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of employment law and HR compliance.

Detailed understanding of effective onboarding.

Highly Developed organisational skills

Developed interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,700.00 per year
