We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Director to join our Executive Team, where you will have significant impact on the financial direction and strategic growth of Newport Live.
Hours, Pay and Benefits
1. Full time, working 37 hours per week
2. Predominantly working Monday-Friday with a need to be flexible in line with needs of the business
3. Salary £70,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience
4. Annual leave 33 days per year (including bank holiday entitlement)
5. Annual leave increase at 5 years (37 days) and 10 years (40 days) length of service

Key Experiences and Qualifications
Essential for your application
11. Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA / CIPFA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
12. Experience of providing strategic financial leadership and delivering results
13. Ability to advise Trustees and senior leaders on financial strategies
14. Skilled at developing and managing key performance indicators
15. Strong leadership and people management skills
16. Highly motivated and results-driven
Beneficial for your application
17. Knowledge of the Not-for-Profit and Charity sector
18. Understanding of public sector funding models
19. Experience of working within a commerical business
20. Ability to communicate in Welsh

We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Director to join our Executive Team, led by our Chief Executive. This is an exciting time to join us with:

This is a senior leadership role where you will have significant impact on the financial direction and strategic growth of the Trust.
About the Role
As Finance Director, you will:
24. Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Finance Manager, who leads a small finance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial management and support across the Trust
25. Oversee all aspects of financial management, business planning, investment and risk management
26. Provide strategic oversight to support growth, development, and long-term sustainability
27. Act as Company Secretary to the Board of Trustees, and be the lead contact with external auditors
28. Play a pivotal role in delivering operation effectiveness and profitability whilst maintaining the charitable ethos
About You
We are looking for someone who:
29. Is a fully qualified accountant with senior business or Board-level experience
30. Is commercially astute, with a proven track record of delivering strong financial leadership in a complex and diverse environment
