About the Role
In this rewarding position, you will play a key role in supporting the IPC Team across NHS Fife and local Care Homes. A significant part of your work will involve conducting audits to monitor compliance with IPC standards, helping to identify areas for improvement and ensuring safe, high‑quality care environments. You will also contribute to the delivery of training sessions, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of safety and infection awareness among staff.
Working closely with the wider IPC team, you’ll assist in surveillance activities, support outbreak management, and help implement quality improvement initiatives. Your contribution will empower colleagues and care providers to maintain high standards of infection prevention, protecting patients, residents, staff and visitors alike.
What We’re Looking For
* Demonstrate a keen interest in infection prevention and control, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
* Have relevant healthcare experience, ideally in a clinical or care setting.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and respectful approach to working with others.
* Be organised, proactive, and able to follow protocols with attention to detail.
* Be able to travel between NHS Fife sites and Care Homes as required.
