OverviewWe are partnering with a newly launched Credit Hedge Fund backed by one of the most prestigious hedge-funds globally. This high-profile fund is looking to add a Financial Controller to the team ahead of further growth to aid in the development of their finance functions. Being a young and relatively small firm, they have a lean team and hence will initially be a very hands on role.ResponsibilitiesSupport everyday tasks such as financial/management accounting (under IFRS), budget and forecasting, overseeing bookkeeping across different jurisdictions, and regulatory reporting.Work directly with the COO, influencing the development of the infrastructure for the hedge fund and taking ownership of developing the accounting systems.Lead on managing the firm’s outsourced service providers, review third-party work, and teach them the fund’s standards and processes.As the firm grows with aggressive targets, contribute to evolving the finance function and its complexity over time.QualificationsFully qualified candidates with a minimum of 8 years total experience (must be qualified).Prior experience working at a hedge fund is highly desirable; experience within another financial services firm is required.Audit experience is a plus.ClarificationsMax 2 weeks notice.Location & CultureThe team is based in Mayfair with modern offices and a collaborative, progressive culture.CompensationThe role is newly created and offers strong compensation with a significant increase on current total compensation.
