Technical Director
Overview:
* As a Technical Director, you will lead the engineering team and drive the technical strategy and execution of product and delivery initiatives.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills and a track record of delivering scalable engineering solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Engineering Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the company's engineering vision, architecture and strategy.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads across multiple projects.
3. Project Management: Oversee all stages of engineering projects, from concept and design to implementation and support, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
4. Innovation and R&D: Encourage innovation and stay ahead of technology trends. Guide R&D efforts to explore new tools, frameworks and processes.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product management, operations and executive leadership to align engineering outputs with broader business objectives.
6. Quality Assurance: Establish best practices, development standards and quality assurance protocols. Continuously improve development workflows, tools and methodologies.
7. Resource Management: Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, vendor relationships and third-party service contracts.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
* At least 10 years of progressive experience in engineering roles, including at least 5 years in technical leadership positions.
* Experience of working within an environment of compliance and regulatory standards.
* Proven experience leading engineering teams and complex projects.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
* A strategic thinker with the ability to make business-critical decisions.
