This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service standards.
Position: Security Manager
Location: Education setting, High Wycombe
Salary: £49,000 per annum
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 19:00
Responsibilities
* Managing and supervising all security personnel on site
* Ensuring staffing levels and rosters meet contractual requirements
* Acting as the first point of contact for security and staff-related issues
* Maintaining accurate incident logs, reports, and operational documentation
* Conducting regular patrols and overseeing site access control procedures
* Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems and responding appropriately to incidents
* Leading emergency response procedures, evacuations, and incident management
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and security legislation
* Supporting and developing team members through coaching and training
* Liaising closely with clients to maintain excellent service delivery standards
* Managing visitor records, key control systems, and goods in/out procedures
* Identifying and reporting suspicious activity and security risks
Qualifications
* 2 years+ management within the security industry
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Calm, confident, and capable under pressure
* A proactive, hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and incident management
