We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role will include overnights on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
* Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to various locations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload products, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
* Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues effectively.
* A commitment to providing exceptional customer service during deliveries.
