Location: Rochester, Kent - ME1 2XX
Hours: 56 Hours 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off (3 day 4 nights/4 days 3 nights)
Pay: £14.56 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Rochester. This is a full‑time role offering consistent hours in a secure and supportive working environment.
What Does a Security Officer Do?
Security Officers play a vital role in protecting people, property and information. They act as a visual deterrent, prevent unauthorized access, monitor for suspicious activity and respond to incidents and emergencies. This position helps ensure the safety and security of premises 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
* Patrol and monitor premises to deter and detect security breaches
* Manage access control and verify ID for staff, visitors and contractors
* Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in a calm, effective manner
* Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
* Conduct regular internal and external security checks
* Operate CCTV and other monitoring equipment
* Enforce site‑specific procedures and health & safety regulations
* Support protection of classified materials and sensitive infrastructure
* Liaise with emergency services and site management as needed
Key Requirements
* Must be a British citizen by birth or have held a British passport for at least 5 years
* Hold a valid SIA licence
* Must be able to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
* 5‑year checkable work history is required
* Flexible to work days, nights and weekends
