We are looking to hire a new member of the Mobile Interior Service Team (MIST).
You will be responsible for carrying out routine repairs, examination work and first level fault finding primarily on train toilets as directed by the Train Leader, working safely and effectively within the team at all times to the required standard and specifications.

Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will:
1. Carry out examinations of trains for interior defects, primarily toilet defects
2. Carry out repair work, routine maintenance and supplementary overnight exams on train toilets to specification as required
3. Complete any documentation required
4. Work as directed by the MIST production delivery engineer or on duty shift production delivery engineer
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for the role we recommend that you demonstrate the below in your application:
5. Experience skilled mechanical / electrical work.
6. Practical Aptitude.
7. Ability to pass Personal Track Safety course or Depot Track Safety course.
8. Physically fit and able to pass a medical to engineering standard.
9. Ability to follow schematics and diagrams.
10. Full UK driving licence and complies with company vehicle policy - must be at least 21 years of age due to driving the company van
11. Ability to pass core mechanical and core electrical skills competency assessments.
