We are looking for highly motivated and creative SEN teaching assistants to join our growing, highly valued team.
At Esland Daven School, we offer high-quality education to 7 to 18-year-olds with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), primarily focusing on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Using our Turning the Curve model, we support vulnerable young people to "turn the curve" on their past experiences and build towards a positive new chapter.

What we need from you:
We are seeking patient and consistent teaching assistants who can work independently, take initiative, and develop purposeful, strong relationships with children, staff, and parents. Experience with post-16 support, ASD, and ADHD would be advantageous but is not essential.
The duties of a Teaching Assistant include (but are not limited to):
* Contributing to the development and effective delivery of childcare, managing processes and procedures in line with the company's philosophy
* Being alert to signs of distress or abuse
* Talking and listening to young people, observing and recording behaviour when necessary
* Contributing to and implementing care planning, reviews, and meetings
* Attending and contributing to supervisions and staff meetings, ensuring smooth handovers and adherence to reporting guidelines
* Being prepared to physically intervene and restrain young people (following appropriate training)
* Undertaking tasks as directed by the HLTA or Headteacher to support young people and manage pupil risk during educational activities
* Participating in outdoor and indoor activities with young people
* Preparing and presenting displays of student work
* Collaborating with professionals such as Therapists and Occupational Therapists, Residential Care Workers, as necessary

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
* GCSE Level including Math, English & Science
* Teaching assistant experience (highly desirable)
* Teaching assistant qualification (desirable)
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Self-motivated with high commitment
* Full manual driving license (desirable due to activities/location)
