Structural Design Engineer – Intermediate
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £38,000 - £50,000

About the Role:
This position is highly design-focused and ideal for an engineer who thrives in a technically demanding environment. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed structural solutions and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate structural design calculations for reinforced concrete and structural steel elements
* Develop high-quality drawings and technical reports
* Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and safety regulations
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure buildability and efficiency
* Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers as needed
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* 2 - 7 years experience in Structural Design
* Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, Tedds, StaadPro, or similar
* Strong background in reinforced concrete design and familiarity with structural steel
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or IStructE) is advantageous
