A leading engineering group within the mobile hydraulics sector is seeking a Commercial Director to drive its defence market strategy.
This is a senior, high-impact role for a commercially savvy leader with deep technical understanding of mobile hydraulic systems and a proven track record selling into the defence ecosystem (MoD, primes, vehicle OEMs, integrators).
What You’ll Lead
* Own and execute the commercial strategy for defence applications
* Build senior relationships across defence OEMs, primes & procurement chains
* Identify, shape & win new military vehicle and support system programmes
* Lead high-value bids, proposals & contract negotiations
* Guide technical positioning of mobile hydraulic solutions to defence standards
* Represent the business at key defence forums and industry events
What You’ll Bring
* Senior commercial or business development background in defence engineering
* Strong technical literacy in mobile hydraulics / electro-hydraulics
* Experience working with MoD supply chains, primes or military vehicle OEMs
* Confidence operating at C-suite / programme leadership level
* Engineering qualification (Degree / HNC / HND or similar)
