Job Title: Lead Clinician
Location: Claystone School – Bedfordshire LU1 4LL
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Pro-rata, DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances)

Role purpose
Lead Clinician to manage the in-house Clinical Team at Claystone School. The postholder will work with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead, split between leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Responsibilities include delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs related to autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH, with EHCP targets in focus. Coordination of line management for the onsite clinical team and leadership on developing the school-based clinical service.

Claystone School, Bedfordshire LU1 4LL (Claystone School is part of the Options Autism brand, an independent specialist day school for children aged 4–11).
Essential criteria
* BSc or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy or OT with HCPC registration and RCSLT
* Current professional registration and membership (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise clinical and research reporting
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and within a growing clinical service
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred)
