Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity:
We’re looking for an Internal Auditor to join Group Internal Audit (GIA), an independent function led by the Chief Internal Auditor. Reporting to the Head of Audit, you’ll play a key role in delivering risk-based audits, providing objective assurance over key business risks, and helping strengthen the Group’s governance, risk management and internal controls. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of audit delivery from end to end, while building strong relationships with stakeholders and contributing to high-quality, constructive recommendations that support the Group’s objectives.
What will your day look like?
 1. Develop an understanding of the Aldermore business and future changes and perform a risk assessment to produce audits for inclusion in the audit plan.
 2. Execution, support and delivery of audits in line with audit methodology and IIA standards and budget
 3. Help produce IA reports which are impactful, balanced and address the root cause of issues. Ensure recommendations are commercial and address the ongoing sustainability of the control environment.
 4. Ensure recommendations are followed up to closure and drive timely issue resolution and sustainability of implemented controls.
 5. Develop and maintain credibility and develop working relationships with key business stakeholders from team leader to director level.
 6. Stay abreast of internal change strategy and external audit best practice, particularly areas of regulatory focus
What do we expect from you?

 9. Good working knowledge of UK regulation and key areas of regulatory focus from PRA and FCA.
 10. Self-motivated and proactive in approach, able to act independently and on own initiative.
 11. Excellent analytical, influencing, presentation and relationship building skills.
