To be considered for this position you must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
Responsibilities
* Work across rehabilitation and recovery wards with the support of two OTAs
* Apply OT assessments and interventions, 1:to:1 with patients and lead group work
* Support patients to engage in the therapeutic programme delivered in conjunction with psychology and nursing colleagues
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to identify patients’ occupational needs
* Observe and monitor patient wellbeing; refer any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences to senior staff and document appropriately
* Ensure effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records and computerised information systems
Qualifications and experience
* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Experience in inpatient mental health services is desirable
* Experience in line management and supervising junior colleagues is desirable but not essential
* Understanding of meaningful occupation and engagement
* Compassion, enthusiasm, creativity and proactivity
