Company Description/ Business Unit Role: Performance Leader Location: Peterborough Salary: £50,279 Contract: Full Time/6 Month Secondment As our Performance Leader you will effectively lead the performance and engagement of the team of Patrols ensuring the provision of exceptional service to customers whilst providing the right business outcomes. You will also be responsible for carrying our patrol duties. This is the job As our Performance Leader, you must be able to identify the management style and interventions required that will have the greatest impact on individual patrol performance. You will ensure your time and effort is focussed at all times to deliver the right outcomes. You must demonstrate leadership and should embrace change enthusiastically and positively and be able to communicate changes to the team. You will manage the transport activities of a small number of commercial vehicles and drivers as laid out by the government body Drivers and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), to enable the business to operate legally and be complaint with legislation. What will I be doing? Driving improved performance across a patrol team to ensure that objectives are achieved This role will include coaching and mentoring patrols in best practice techniques to improve their capability and effectiveness. Using appropriate and relevant data and in compliance with the AA’s internal performance policies effectively lead the patrols to ensure consistently high quality performance is delivered. Effectively building relationships with 3rd Party Garage Networks within your area, to ensure good working partnership Undertaking general tool and compliance checks to ensure that all PPE and key items of equipment are properly maintained and in working order. When undertaking patrol duties, ensuring performance results are maintained to a high standard in order to act as a role model for other patrols Assisting and supporting the Customer Performance Manager to ensure the business objectives are achieved Manage performance of the contractor network in ensuring the provision of exceptional service to customers whilst providing the right business outcomes. Ensuring compliance procedures are managed for the operator’s license requirements, including workshops visits, vehicle checks and DVSA inspections Working to tight deadlines and managing the relationship with the AA’s maintenance provider at a local level What do I need? Applicants must have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You will also possess a good understanding of all relevant legal compliance and fleet controls and have extensive motor vehicle repair experience working on a range of different vehicles You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of competence against the following competencies.
