Commercial Trainee (ITAD & Recycling Sector)

About the Company
We are a fast-growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and technology recycling business, committed to responsible reuse, circular economy innovation, and delivering high-quality services to our clients and partners. As our operations expand, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious apprentice to support our Executive Director and gain hands‑on experience across communications, administration, client management, and operational coordination.
Role Overview
This role offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from a senior leader within the business. The Commercial Trainee will play a key role in supporting daily activities, assisting with internal and external communications, helping manage client and partner accounts, and contributing to administrative and operational tasks across the organisation.
The role is designed for someone eager to develop a career in business operations, communications, client relations, or sustainability-driven services.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Administration
* Support the Executive Director with day‑to‑day sales related administrative tasks, diary management, meeting preparation, and follow‑up actions where required.
* Assist in drafting reports, presentations, and internal communications.
* Help maintain accurate records, documentation, and data across operational systems, to include Hubspot & required proposals.
* Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and event logistics as required.
Communications
* Assist in preparing clear, professional communications for clients, partners, and internal teams.
* Support the development of marketing materials, case studies, and project updates.
* Help manage social media, website content updates, and general brand communications (bonus).
Client & Partner Account Support
* Work closely with account managers to help maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
* Support onboarding, project tracking, service updates, and customer queries.
* Help manage CRM updates, client reporting, and coordination with service teams.
* Attend client meetings and calls where appropriate, shadowing senior leaders to learn best practice.
Learning & Development
* Shadow the Executive Director to gain insight into business leadership, strategic decision‑making, and client engagement.
* Participate in industry training, site visits, and professional development activities across ITAD, recycling, and sustainability.
* Contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve processes and enhance service delivery.

What you will need
* A 2 : 1 degree in a Business relevant subject
* Interest in technology, sustainability, recycling, or the circular economy.
* Strong communication skills — written and verbal.
* Highly organised, proactive, and willing to learn.
* Strong work ethic and a team player who will ‘roll up their sleeves’ and do any job required
* Confident using Microsoft Office / N2S systems / Hubspot.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to build relationships.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
