With ambitious growth plans and an entrepreneurial culture, this is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Director to join the leadership team and help shape the next stage of their journey. The Role: As Finance Director, you'll oversee the finance function across multiple entities, ensuring financial rigour while enabling continued expansion. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic influence with day-to-day management, and acting as a trusted advisor to the board. You'll be instrumental in shaping financial strategy, strengthening processes, and empowering both finance and non-finance teams to make commercially sound decisions. Key Responsibilities: * Take ownership of annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, ensuring robust cash flow management and accurate scenario planning. * Produce consolidated monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards, board packs, and detailed performance analysis across client accounts. * Partner with senior leadership to provide commercial insight, including margin analysis, MI development, and contract profitability modelling. * Lead improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls to support a growing multi-entity business. * Manage statutory reporting, audits, R&D claims, and HMRC submissions, ensuring compliance across VAT, corporation tax, and P11Ds. * Oversee payroll, pensions, and supplier payments while maintaining strong working capital discipline. * Support wider business initiatives including IT projects, insurance renewals, operational planning, and potential M&A opportunities. * Mentor and develop the finance team, while acting as a trusted advisor to non-financial stakeholders. What we're looking for: * Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), though strong QBE candidates will also be considered. * Proven experience leading finance teams in a fast-paced SME environment. * Background in gaming, advertising, media, or creative industries. * Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with sharp commercial acumen. * Excellent communicator, able to collaborate with both creative and commercial stakeholders. * Proactive, hands-on leader with a drive for improving processes and enhancing margins.
