Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of the children in our care.
Role Overview:
As an Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our children's team, assisting in the delivery of high-quality care in line with Ofsted regulations and our organisational standards. You will provide direct support to the children and young people in our care, assisting with their day-to-day needs, encouraging personal growth, and ensuring they have a positive and fulfilling experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional needs are met.
* Work collaboratively with other team members to implement care plans and individual support strategies.
* Assist in the development of children's social, emotional, and educational skills.
* Support children in activities, both within the home and in the community, promoting social inclusion and life skills.
* Liaise with social workers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
* Ensure that all records are maintained accurately, in line with Ofsted standards and company policies.
* Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of care plans and individual progress.
* Promote a safe and supportive environment for all children and young people, including managing behaviours appropriately and in accordance with care protocols.
* Participate in regular training and development sessions to maintain high levels of professional knowledge and skills.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with children and young people, particularly in a residential care setting (desirable).
* Understanding of Ofsted regulations and how they apply to children's services.
* A passion for working with children and supporting them in their development.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when working with children.
* Enhanced DBS check (provided by us).
* A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a commitment to working towards it) is desirable, but not essential.
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and some evenings.
