An Accounts Assistant is required to join a business based in Reading. It will be covering all aspects of sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking and month end reporting. It is with a fast-paced growing business who are ideally looking for an AAT studier who has 1-3 years in experience. Looking to continue their development and learn from great leaders.
The Role
This is a critical role within the finance team of seven which will suit a candidate used to working with a high degree of accuracy and who has the ability to pro-actively resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
In this Accounts Assistant role there is particular emphasis on the sales ledger and purchase ledger, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (including bank) assistance with month end and production of reports, preparation of cash forecast.
You will also be responsible for assisting with month end, the production of reports, journal posting and preparation of cash forecasts.
Your Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant will be a transactional finance professional who can demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in previous roles.
Experience of sales ledger processing and purchase ledger is critical and highly desirable. It is therefore essential that you are comfortable solving queries on the phone and working independently to solve invoicing and collection problems with minimal guidance in a busy and demanding environment.

Our client is a growing UK based business within the consultancy sector with its headquarters based in modern offices in Reading. You will be part of a finance team of seven people so being a team player is essential. There is ample parking available, and the nearest train station is a mere ten minute walk away.
Salary & Benefits
This Accounts Assistant role will pay £25,000 to 28,000 plus parking and train station in close proximity.
