Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Practitioner Psychologist to work within a CYP Trauma service in Cornwall, vacancies available in West and Central Cornwall.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will join newly established MDT’s which bring together early help and child in need provision. These teams work with children, young people (and their families) who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. The aim of this newly established service is to increase psychological awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences for parents and the systems that support the children and young people.
The post holder will provide assessments, formulation and trauma informed therapeutic interventions.
Contract type – a permanent and 12 month FTC available
Hours - both part time and full time applicants will be considered.

Salary - £47,800 - £54,700 FTE
**band 7 to 8a Preceptorship schemes available**
NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions will apply including any NHS continuous service and to continue an NHS pension.
Experience required:
Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration along with previous experience working within CAMHS, LAC, CYP residential or CYP trauma services. Due to the nature of the role, car owners/drivers are mandatory.
