We’re on the lookout for an experienced Assistant General Manager to spearhead the launch and ongoing success of this premium, high-volume dining destination.
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Your core responsibilities will include driving business performance forward by hiring and training a top performing team, as well as supporting in delivering labour, sales targets and margins required to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities of Assistant General Manager:
* Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the venue
* Support to delivery of the annualised Sales, Labour, Margin and Profit budget for the venue
* Deliver a first-class guest experience for all guests
* Build and train a high performing team around you through structured and quality recruitment
* Motivating, Developing and Incentivising your team across all departments of the business
* Collaborating with the Head Chef to maximise efficiency between Front & Back of house during service
* Awareness of competitors and hospitality trends. Feeds back to General Manager regularly
* Ensuring engaging & motivating pre-shift briefs take place
* Health & Safety (H&S) of all who enter the venue
* Delivering and managing training needs of all team as well as the non-negotiable compliance such as Due Diligence, Licensing, H&S, Fire, COSHH, Allergens, Food Safety and Manual Handling
* Maintaining and improving the service standards of the venue through training, coaching, innovation and consistency
* Atmosphere management and ensuring the atmosphere is on point at all times
* Working with your Support Office team to create sales building activities in the venue.
Requirements:
* The ideal Assistant General Manager will have a minimum 3 years of experience in luxury or high-end hospitality management
* Proven experience in high-turn over venues
* Proven experience managing large teams
* A natural leader who can inspire others and lead from the front.
