Salary: £25,374- £49,937 pro-rata
Cardiff and Vale College are looking for an Essential Skills Lecturer based mainly within the Vale campuses, but with the expectation to cover other campuses as required.
The successful candidate for the post will be primarily responsible for classroom teaching, preparation and marking at least three of the following Essential Skills qualifications; from entry level 1 up to level 3:
* Essential Application of Number Skills
* Essential Communication Skills
* Essential Digital Literacy Skills
* Essential Employability Skills
Responsibilities include:
* Providing engaging and effective teaching and learning;
* Undertaking all administrative work associated with teaching, e.g., marking registers, tracking of learner progress and referrals for ALN, learning coach or wellbeing support;
* Liaising and communicating effectively with relevant course tutors, ensuring accuracy of qualification registration and ensuring claims are submitted in accordance with College policies and procedures
* Undertaking relevant continuous professional development and training.
This is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st July 2025.
