Main duties of the job
As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role indriving forward any changes we need to ensure we maintain our accreditation anddeliver continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring that thedirect care and support provided is safe, effective, responsive, caring, wellled and compliant.
A major part of the role will be ensuring that resources areused in a planned way in order to maintain an efficient and cost-effectiveservice which takes full account of both changing needs and resourceavailability whilst supporting care staff to work in accordance with individualcare and service plans. You will also ensure close collaboration with peopleusing the service, carers and your assessment and health colleagues to deliverthe best possible outcomes for people. Working in a changing environment, youwill contribute towards our health and adult service meeting its aim of closerworking relationships with health and other partners to deliver improvedoutcomes for vulnerable adults in North Yorkshire.Leading andmanaging a range of senior care and support staff and ensuring that the servicecomplies with both the Care Quality Commission regulated activities as well asNYC policies and procedures is vital. A key part of your role will involveensuring that the services are person centred and that staff support people tomeet their personal outcomes.

Job responsibilities
To be successful, you will have extensive experience ofworking within Learning Disabilities, and/or Autism and supporting individualswho have a range of complex needs. As well as ensuring your service is safe,effective, responsive, caring and well led, the ability to be flexible,responsive and to work in an ever-changing environment will be essential. Youwill be part of a wider provider services team and therefore the ability towork across different services and provide resilience to provider services as awhole will be key.The service will be delivered on a 24/7 basis so youmay be required to work a variety of shifts and be part of an out of hours oncall service for the wider provider services.
