We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming nursery team in York. If you’re passionate about play, learning, and helping children flourish, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll play a vital part in creating a warm and engaging environment where children aged 0–5 can learn and grow.
You will:
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based learning activities
* Foster each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Observe and record children’s progress, sharing achievements with families
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
* Work collaboratively with your team to make every day meaningful and fun
What We’re Looking For
You are:
* Warm, friendly, and naturally nurturing
* Someone who can turn into a fairy, pirate, or astronaut when playtime calls for it
* Confident reading stories upside down and drinking many cups of imaginary tea
* Calm, patient, and full of creativity
* A great communicator and reliable team player
You’ll also bring:
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
* A Diploma of Higher Education (required)
* At least 1 year of experience in childcare or nursery work (preferred)
