What you’ll do on a typical day:
Lead the team in a professional, open manner, displaying consistency, honesty & integrity at all times. Deliver staff briefs, toolbox talks & training seminars effectively and positively
* Challenge processes, drive change and improvements whilst championing engagement across all levels of the business. Create, develop and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all to improve employee engagement
* Work with appropriate parties to provide solutions to team issues taking account of the appropriate policies, company values and ethical practice, escalating any issues promptly to line management
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Previous management experience, ideally from working in a similar fast-moving and customer-focused environment
* Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
An understanding of continuous improvement tools, health and safety, compliance, and employee relations
* Excellent team management skills, including professional reviews, RTW, appraisals and disciplinary
* Strong Communication skills
