CEN Resources is partnering with a very successful and growing engineering consultancy based in Glasgow. Due to growth and project awards, our client is now looking to hire a Senior Process Engineer. The client operates within various process industries such as Energy, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Life Sciences. Responsibilities
* Support Lead Process and Process Safety Engineers in all aspects of Process Design to deliver engineering solutions at Concept, FEED, and detailed design project phases.
* Develop sizing calculations for process equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment datasheets.
* Prepare process equipment and instrument-related documents for project requirements.
* Provide design input for engineering drawing production.
* Review and check design documents/drawings prepared by the design team.
* Keep up to date with new standards, process software, and procedures, and implement them in daily work.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and chemical process simulators; experience on production sites is a plus.
* Perform site visits for surveys, meetings, and related activities.
* Support project deliverables on process safety, including HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR, and HAC studies, with scribing and facilitation when qualified.
* Prepare process specifications, drawings, and deliverables such as:
o Process Design Basis
o Process Flow Diagrams
o Heat and Mass Heat Balances
o P&ID Diagrams
o Material Selection Diagrams
o Line List
o Equipment List
o Process Data Sheets for Equipment
Qualifications & Desirable Skills
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering.
* Familiarity with process design in a chemical process plant environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Comfortable in a customer-facing role.
* Demonstrable experience with process safety deliverables.
