 
        
        Support Worker – 39 Hours per Week – Burnley
We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Burnley, working 39 hours each week. This role is essential in delivering person‑centred care and support across a range of settings.
Overview
As a Support Worker at AFG, you will work within a team to provide individualized care plans for people with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, physical and mental health conditions. You will support individuals in community settings, independent hospitals and adult care homes, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
 * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families and team members.
 * Show patience, confidence and enthusiasm when caring for individuals.
 * Use your own initiative to identify and meet client needs.
 * Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 * Adapt to a varied shift pattern to provide 24‑hour support.
 * Uphold AFG core values and promote a respectful, person‑centred environment.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Excellent communication skills.
 * Good interpersonal skills with an empathetic attitude.
 * Proactive, reliable and able to exercise independent judgment.
 * Flexible and able to work across different shifts, including days, nights, sleep‑ins and weekends.
 * Willingness to undertake full training provided by AFG – no prior care experience is required.
 * Commitment to share and live our AFG values.
Pay & Hours
£12.60 per hour for all worked hours. 39 hours per week overtime will be negotiated separately.
Shift Patterns
 * Flexible shifts including days, waking nights, sleep‑ins and weekends.
