Hybrid Working
We follow a hybrid approach: you should be located within a commutable distance of one of our offices. In Technology we require attendance at the office a minimum of one day per week.
Our Engineering Environment
Starling engineers work on building new features and tooling across a variety of tech stacks. Our mobile engineers work in cross‑functional feature teams across broader engineering groups. You are empowered to make platform decisions, collaborate with engineers of various experience levels, and ship code from the first week.
Requirements
* Fully digital bank: understand and prioritise security when implementing new features, fixing bugs, or making technical improvements across all layers.
* Design and release new screens daily with a strong focus on accessibility, writing clean and maintainable code.
* Proficient in Swift, MVVM‑C architecture, and UIKit. Experience with RxSwift is a plus but not required.
* Ability to create robust, well‑tested code that delivers reliability to millions of customers.
* Strong product sense, user‑experience focus, and design awareness.
* Comfort with a small empowered team delivering software.
Interview Process
* Initial phone call: ~45 minutes.
* Take‑home technical test (no time limit).
* Technical face‑to‑face interview: ~1.5 hours.
* Final interview: ~45 minutes.
