About the role
Loss Prevention Partners protect Partners, customers, and secure assets through efficient risk management and effective communication within their designated shops. This includes preventing loss or damage to stock, cash loss, and ensuring compliance with processes.
Note: Due to working regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over.
What will you be doing?
You will be a member of the Profit Protection team, contributing to the efficiency and profitability of John Lewis.
1. Mitigating the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers;
2. Managing shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite;
You will investigate trends, report on key themes, and thoroughly investigate shrinkage to protect profits. Responsibilities include patrolling the shop floor to deter theft, monitoring CCTV, and addressing all aspects of shrinkage, such as dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative errors.
You should be confident and reassuring to de-escalate conflicts professionally and support fellow Partners by raising awareness of shrinkage issues.
This role requires working on a rota, including evenings and weekends.
Training
Comprehensive training will be provided in the initial weeks, suitable even if you lack prior experience.
Minimum Requirements
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Good customer service skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous loss prevention experience
* Experience in a customer-facing environment
