Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our friendly and experienced Occupational Therapy team within our “outstanding” Trust. We have one full time post available.
Responsibilities
* Support our qualified staff in delivering activities of daily living assessments and therapeutic interventions to in‑patients at the Central England Rehabilitation Unit at Leamington Hospital.
* Assist in the provision of rehabilitation for patients with an acquired brain injury, under the guidance and supervision of the Occupational Therapists.
* Work as part of a wider Multi‑Disciplinary team, providing one‑to‑one and group activities.
* Assist with evaluation of the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy input, using validated outcome measures, and assist with data management and input.
* Liaise and work with patients, carers, other healthcare professionals and external agencies, demonstrating excellent communication and team‑working skills.
* Multi‑task in a busy environment and use initiative, managing workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
* Assist in the provision of an effective service delivery within the speciality.
* Assist in managing an agreed caseload of patients within the service speciality area under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
* Follow the recognised professional standards, the agreed therapy pathway and best practice in your designated area of speciality, liaising with the Occupational Therapist regularly/as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience of working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
