Job description-Financial Controller.
At Noah Garden Rooms we never stand still and due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a full time Financial Controller / Manager.
We are looking for a highly motivated, ideally qualified, and experienced financial controller with good commercial and analytical skills. Previous experience at providing commercial support and input to a senior management team is required. You will have a Manufacturing background with strong IT skills, be knowledgeable in Sage accounting software, be responsible for Payroll and possess a can-do attitude.
Please note this role is based on site in Telford.
ROLE PROFILE: Financial Controller / Finance Manager
Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the managing director, it would be your responsibility to provide detailed and accurate financial and statistical information in a timely manner in order to assist with the company's decision making. As part of the role, you will assist management with ideas, decision making and continue to improve on its internal processes.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
* Production of accurate, consistent and timely monthly management accounts including commentary.
* Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC and other government departments (including providing statutory returns for tax, VAT etc).
* Maintain a fixed asset register.
* Assist in costing exercises and Manufacturing Financial statistics where required.
* Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues in conjunction with our external accountant.
* Assist management in ensuring that profitability is optimized within the business.
* To ensure effective and timely communication of business performance and efficiencies to all levels of management within the organization's processes and timelines.
* Manage insurances, Utilities and Fixed costs.
* Oversee Stock takes and reviews of stock consumption and provide accurate reporting data on costing increases/decreases and the effects to our base model costings.
* Oversee The Purchasing and Goods receiving system of the business.
* Overseeing and working with the accounts assistant and help with any of their queries or issues.
* Cover accounts assistant during holiday periods.
* Reviewing debtors and creditors and approving payments where required.
* To identify and evaluate areas for improvement of profit/spend with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology, analysis of spend, material ratios etc.
* Deal with credit cards and small claims when applicable.
* Ongoing admin tasks such as setting up supplier accounts where required.
Key skills & experience
* Good management accounting experience, preferably in an SME environment and ideally in manufacturing.
* Expert analytical skills.
* Experience of manufacturing costing models.
* Strong Excel experience.
* Strong Sage Cloud Accounting experience.
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written especially in order to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with outside professional organisations as well as customers.
* Be commercially aware.
* Experienced at taking a lead and presenting information.
* Multi-tasking skills.
* Possess a good, strong understanding of business and financial issues.
* The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Salary: -£40,000.00 per year
Schedule:
* 9.00am to 17.00pm 5 days a week (30 minutes lunch break)
* Monday to Friday
* No weekend working.
* 28 days holiday allowance including statutory Bank holidays.
