As our new Head of Transformation and Digital, you will be the strategic lead for organisationaltransformationacross the council. Your remit will go far beyond technology, focusing on service redesign, process improvement, culturalchange, and new ways of working, while using digital innovation as a key tool to deliver and sustain thatchange. Reporting directly to the Executive Director ofResources, andworking closely with our Executive Leadership Teamand the wider management team, you will develop and deliver a council-wide transformation programme that drives greater efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, leadingtransformational change projectsacrossservices to achieve consistent, measurable outcomes. This will include redesigning business processes and working practices to be modern, agile, and customer-focused, while harnessing digital tools, data, and innovation, from automation and AI to improved collaboration platforms, to enable and sustain change. About You We are looking for someone with a proventrack recordin delivering large-scale transformation in complex organisations, ideally in local government or a comparable public service setting. You will be an inspiring leader, equally comfortable setting strategic direction and getting hands-on to ensure delivery. You will bring experience of driving cultural change, improving processes, and leading cross-cutting programmes that deliver tangible benefits. Furthermore, you will understand how to use technology and digital solutions as powerful enablers of wider change, and have excellent stakeholder management skills, political awareness, with an ability to inspire and motivate people at all levels.
