Field Technician - Pay Rate: £15 per hour, temp to perm - Operational area (England, Scotland, & Wales) - Overnight stays Monday - Friday, accomodation provided - Working schedule Monday to Friday, out of hours operational stand by rota Role Objective: Severn Trent Services is a member of the Severn Trent Plc group of companies which serves 4.2 million households and businesses. We provide UK businesses with tried and tested water services that reduce water and wastewater costs, improve efficiencies and manage risk and compliance. Installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of water/wastewater assets such as drying beds, lagoons, wetlands, reed beds, supportive M&E packages, and minor civils work. Our main activities are design and build, refurbishment of wetlands such as treatment reed beds and lagoons. The operational area covers Scotland, Wales, & England, staying away from home will be critical to ensure the successful project delivery. The Key Accountabilities: Dependent on skill set, undertaking day to day installation, repair and maintenance of water and wastewater assets to defined design standards. Deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance. Work with scheduling team and line management to maximise productivity and efficiency. Provide quality daily job feedback to identify follow on work to minimise the avoidable failures for water quality and environmental consents. Provide support to both customers and colleagues with technical input when required. Manage personal workloads to ensure maximum flexibility, productivity and effective time management. Operation of plant such as 360 Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, and other groundwork plant & machinery. Participate in an out-of-hours operational stand-by rota. Delivery of activities where the works have been secured, you will be required to work away from home, Monday - Friday between 6 & 12 months per year - accommodation and food provided. Vehicle and fuel card provided Experience: To succeed in this role it is expected that you will have: Experience of operating plant and machinery (Excavator, Dumper, Roller, Telehandler) - preferable. Experience in general groundwork and construction.
