Hours: 37 hours per week (full time). Location: Parkhouse Building Carlisle (Working from home available). Contract: Permanent.
Purpose of this post: The Service Lead – Systems Development will act as a key systems contact for the end user service area, ensuring broad systems knowledge and expertise to deliver directorate and service level priorities. The role involves working with colleagues to understand business needs, providing flexible and focused support, and ensuring the systems solutions, skills, and experience of the team enable high quality and consistent outcomes for customers. This position will manage a small team of System Development Officers. Initially this post will be with Cumberland Council (hosting Westmorland & Furness) but will eventually disaggregate to Westmorland & Furness Council.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of iTrent, ensuring system integrity, reliability, and performance.
* Oversee and support the implementation of system updates, enhancements, and configurations within iTrent.
* Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all iTrent-related queries, troubleshooting, and system-related issues.
* Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of iTrent with business processes.
* Drive the continuous improvement of HRIS processes, identifying areas for optimization and automation.
* Provide training, support, and guidance to HR users on best practices and system functionality.
* Manage system reporting, analytics, and data integrity, ensuring accurate and timely information is available.
* Lead projects related to iTrent system updates, upgrades, and new feature implementations.
Who We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Service Lead or similar role, with a strong background in iTrent system administration and management.
* Extensive knowledge of iTrent HRIS functionality, modules, and reporting capabilities.
* Experience in iTrent system configuration, data management, and troubleshooting.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide training, support, and strategic advice.
* Strong analytical skills and experience with HRIS-related data and reporting.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
