LOCATION: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Day shifts with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends when required
Responsibilities
* CNC Press Brake Operation: Programming, setting and operating Amada and LVD CNC press brake machinery
* Sheet Metal Fabrication: Producing precision aerospace components to AS9001 standards
* Welding and Finishing: Carrying out welding, deburring, polishing and surface finishing tasks
* Technical Interpretation: Reading and working from detailed 2D aerospace drawings
* Tool Use: Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Component Forming: Forming and profiling metal and composite parts to specification
* Drilling and Countersinking: Producing precision holes and fixing points for aerospace assemblies
* Quality Control: Ensuring all parts are manufactured to required standards and tolerances
Qualifications
* Qualified Background: NVQ qualified or time-served in sheet metal or fabrication
* Proven Expertise: Previous experience in CNC press brake programming, setting and operation
* Fabrication Skills: Proven experience of welding and aerospace component fabrication
* Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Aerospace Standards: Familiar with tight tolerances and quality requirements
* Detail Focus: Excellent attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset
* Team Approach: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
* Positive Attitude: Can-do approach and willingness to support business needs
