Liverpool & Warrington | 45 Hours per Week + Overtime | £35,100£51,480 per annum

Our client is a well-established independent specialist in automatic and manual door systems, delivering installation, maintenance and repair services across England and Wales. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, theyre now expanding their engineering team.
This is a field-based role covering England and Wales, attending client sites across the regions.

Are you the right person for the role?
Essential:
Minimum 3 years experience as an Automatic Door Engineer
Qualified to BS EN16005 and BS 7036 standards
Full UK driving licence
Strong mechanical and electrical skills (including installation and 18th Edition wiring regulations desirable)
CSCS card
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic and manual door systems
Knowledge of safety regulations and health & safety practices (including working at height, manual handling, asbestos awareness)
Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Willingness to travel and work at various client sites, including overnight stays if required
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check for safeguarded sites
Desirable:
Experience with Record, Geze, Assa Abloy, Dorma, Kone, or Label systems
SPA Forecourt qualification
Working knowledge of planned maintenance and repair of automatic and manual doors, stand-alone access control systems, panic hardware, floor springs, door closers, and locks

What will your role look like?
Installation & Commissioning: Fit and commission automatic door systems to specification, testing for correct operation and compliance
Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out effective repairs
Customer Support: Advise clients on operation and maintenance, respond to enquiries professionally
Compliance & Safety: Follow all health, safety, and industry standards; stay up to date with regulations and best practices
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, produce reports for clients and internal teams
Training: Guide clients and colleagues on the correct use and upkeep of systems
